Elecomp 2017: Reflection of Iran's ICT Growth

Head of Iran’s ICT Guild Organization says the 23rd International Exhibition of Electronics, Computers and E-Commerce indicates the fast-paced growth of the country’s ICT industry and infrastructure, which gained fresh impetus following the lifting of international sanctions over a year ago.

“There was only a six-month break between Elecomp 2017 and last year’s show, but the exhibition has registered impressive records in terms of participation and well as the number of visitors,” Sa’adat noted.
He underlined this year’s exhibit as the “biggest-ever Elecomp”. The annual exhibition has carved its place as one of the largest and most reputable exhibitions in the ICT industry over the last few years.
Elecomp 2017 is host to over 800 domestic and international companies from 20 countries. The exhibition is organized by Iran’s ICT Guild Organization in an area of 60,000 square meters, some 32,000 sq. meters of which are usable.
This is the third consecutive Elecomp exhibition which is particularly dedicated to promoting startup companies.
According to the organizers, 340 Iranian startups will feature in Elecom Stars – an area of 7,000 sq. meters, including two large halls –to present their products and services, work alongside mentors on how to expand their business and raise funds in meetings with potential investors.
“We are moving ahead at the ICT sector along with global developments in the industry. The growth will be reflected in Iran’s flourishing startups in the next several years,” Sa’adat noted.
